Gold Coast Theme Parks

One is the Warner Bros Movie World, located in Oxemford. It is the only theme park in the country that is related to television and movies. One of its newest attractions is the Shrek 4D Adventure, a ride that lets visitors experience being part of the movie itself. Another attraction in Movie World that has been a hit with children is the Looney Tunes Village that features the Scooby Doo Rollercoaster. After trying out its exhilarating theme rides, visitors can then head out to its shops where they can buy movie memorabilia.
In Main Beach is another popular theme park, the Sea World which features the world’s largest man-made lagoon. This attraction is the perfect setting to meet dolphins, sharks, and other marine creatures. The theme park boasts of 17 aquariums that showcase that best of the underwater treasure of the country. After trying its theme rides, visitors can also catch the live shows staged by Sesame Street characters.
The Wet ‘n’ Wild Water World is the perfect destination for those who love to frolic in the water all day. Also located in Oxenford, this theme park boasts of swirling rapids, wet roller coaster, Mammoth Falls, a huge wave pool, and a shallow man-made bay for little children to splash in. During the cooler months, all the pools and slides are heated so visitors can use the facilities in comfort.
A similar attraction is the WhiteWater World, located along Pacific Highway. This theme park features several water slides and a toddler playground. Among its more popular attractions are the Pipeline Plunge and the Green Room.
Dreamworld, located right next to the WhiteWater World, caters to those who are seeking the natural rush. It is home to the world’s fourth fastest rollercoaster–the Tower of Terror—and the world’s tallest freefall drop—the Giant Drop. It also features the Claw, a pendulum system that swings riders high up in the air at fast speed in all direction. Afterwards, visitors take a breather at the Tiger Island, where they get to meet white and gold Bengal tigers with their handlers.
Afterwards, visitors can head back to the Pacific Motorway and purchase a ticket for the Australian Outback Spectacular, a dinner show showcasing the best of Outback life. It depicts the rivalry of two cattle stations with a nightly performance that is participated by real stockmen with their stock horses and bush vehicles. Afterwards, the audience is served with hearty Australian barbecue meals as fitting cap to an awesome show.
Those interested in meeting Australia’s native animals in their natural habitat can head out to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, where they get to encounter snakes, kangaroos, crocodiles, the Tasmanian devil, and other wildlife species.
